Dr. Eric Broom has worked as a teacher, a Regional Officer with Sport England, a Human Kinetics Professor at the University of British Columbia, former Canada Men's National Team Coach for field hockey (1967 Pan Am Games), an Associate Deputy Minister for Sport in British Columbia and has held many consultancy roles in sport.
In 1975, four years after receiving his Ph.D. in Physical Education from the University of Illinois, Dr. Broom delivered his very first 1st coach education course. A technical expert and coach educator for Rugby, Athletics, Swimming, Tennis and Field Hockey, he has positively affected the lives of many coaches in Canada. Dr. Broom has successfully trained over 10,000 coaches as a Canadian National Coaching Certification Program Master Learning Facilitator.
